Add a wali or family contact — a parent, uncle, brother or an imam. It is stored privately, never shown on your card, and unlocks only when both of you have swiped right and both agree.
A report button sits on every card. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and there is zero tolerance for harassment, catfishing, un-Islamic content or requests for money.
A halal search deserves a real person on the other side of the swipe. Before a profile can be seen by anyone in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, Harar, Adama, Hawassa, Mekelle, Bahir Dar, Jijiga, Gondar or Jimma, the member completes two checks: a government ID check and a working phone number we can reach them on.
Profiles that pass both checks carry a gold badge on their card, so you always know what you are looking at. Profiles that stay unverified are removed after 14 days — they are never left sitting in your stack.
Fake profiles are the fastest way to get banned from HubiChat. A stolen photo, an invented name or a phone number that does not belong to the member ends the account, permanently.
Each member submits a government ID. We match the name and photo on the document to the profile before it goes live. If it does not match, the profile does not appear.
We confirm a phone number the member can actually be reached on. It is used for verification and account security only — it is never printed on a card and never shown to other members.

A match can hide their profile from relatives by name, so a cousin or an uncle browsing HubiChat will not find them. You can delete your account and every photo you uploaded at any time from your profile page — deletion is immediate and permanent.
Every card carries a report button. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We have zero tolerance for un-Islamic content, harassment, married men hiding their marriage, catfishing and requests for money. A confirmed report ends the account — there is no second warning for the serious cases.
