A profile reads either “Marriage (first wife)” or “Second, third or fourth wife” — chosen by the member, shown on the card before you swipe. You never have to guess, and you never have to ask a question that should already have been answered.
We expect a man joining for a second, third or fourth marriage to be open with his first wife, and to intend fair and just treatment between his households. Members who use HubiChat to deceive a wife or a family are removed — moderators act on reports from any member.
A woman who wants to be a first wife simply sets her filter to “Marriage (first wife)” and the deck shows her only those profiles. A woman open to a second, third or fourth marriage can set that preference instead. Either way, the choice is hers and it is respected.
When both sides swipe right, the match opens and the wali contact — kept private until that moment — is shared with agreement from both people. From there the families speak directly, in the way a nikah has always been arranged in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, Harar and beyond.

Every member submits a government ID before their profile goes live. Our team checks the name, photo and details match, then marks the profile ID-verified. Unverified profiles are not shown in the deck, so the person you swipe on is a real, checked member.
Nobody at first. Your wali or family contact is stored privately and stays hidden from every other member. It is only released after you and the other person both swipe right and both agree to be introduced — then the families are put in touch, with your knowledge.
No. Phone numbers are never displayed on a profile and never passed on automatically. Conversation happens inside HubiChat after a match, and if you later choose to exchange contact details with a match, that is your decision alone.
Every card has a report button. Our moderators review each report and remove anything un-Islamic — immodest photos, rude messages, harassment, fake profiles or anyone pressuring a member for money. Reported accounts can be suspended or permanently removed.
Yes. The Free plan is ETB 0 — you can create a verified profile, browse the deck and swipe right to like or left to pass at no cost. Paid plans only add extras such as unlimited likes and chat after a match.
No. A photo is optional. You can keep your profile photo-free and still appear in the deck with your initials, city and verification badge. If you do add a photo, moderators check it against our modesty rules before it is shown.
